
Rev. Carlos A. Velez
Rev. Carlos A. Velez was born in San Juan Puerto Rico and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1983. He has traveled more than 1.5 million miles preaching the Gospel and teaching about leadership, stewardship, and the need of developing leaders, organizations, and structures that will help in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Today, Rev. Velez is the United States Director for Compass Latino traveling around the world sharing the love of Christ and challenging believers to live for Christ fully. In partnership with Dr. Andrés Panasiuk, God continues opening doors to share His Word, the powerful message of Biblical Stewardship and the need to be leaders with integrity.
Rev. Velez has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree from the Alliance Theological Seminary. In 2004, he graduated from the Haggai Institute of Leadership in Singapore and today he is finishing a postgraduate degree from Regent University in Virginia. Also, studied singing and directing at the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico. In 1987, he founded Lemuel Ministries, an evangelistic organization that for more than 30 years has shared the message of Christ around all Latin America through the arts. In 1993 he became a church planter and ordained minister for The Christian and Missionary Alliance planting 13 churches between Puerto Rico, Georgia, and North Carolina. His involvement in parachurch ministries like Promise Keepers, John Maxwell Ministries, and Crown Financial Ministries had given him a particular perspective about leadership in the Kingdom of God. Also, he maintains a mentoring network with pastors from United States, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Cuba and Puerto Rico among other countries.
Rev. Velez is married to Rosse for more than 25 years and together with their daughters Karely and Carisha they are investing their lives in the expansion of the Kingdom of God, making disciples for God’s glory.
